What we collect

If you voluntarily unlock the free catalog and join the update list, we save your email address, chosen site language, the date and time, and the version of the permission statement you accepted. You do not need to provide an email or create an account to use the songbook, planner or Finder.

If you report a broken link, we save the information you submit so Heart Sparker can improve the catalog.

If you add a community song, we save the song details and YouTube link you provide. The community-song form does not ask for your name, email address, or an account.

Your personal songbook

My Songbook saves your songs, practice and recording links, notes, labels, statuses, already-sung checkmarks and Sing next plans (including their order and optional dates) in local storage on this browser and website address. This personal list is not sent to Heart Sparker or posted to the community. Anyone who can use this browser can view it; it is not protected by an account or password.

There is no automatic cross-device sync or cloud recovery. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or losing your device may remove your songbook. Download a backup and keep it somewhere private. Importing a backup happens in your browser and adds missing songs without replacing existing entries. Your personal songbook searches and pasted song lists also stay in your browser. Practice and recording links open outside services, whose privacy practices apply.

How we use it

Your email signup unlocks the PDF on this page; the PDF is not sent by email. Addresses are saved for occasional Heart Sparker Finder news, new song drops and Songbook updates. Email sending and address confirmation are not connected yet. We do not sell your personal information.

Hosting and outside links

Our hosting service may process routine technical information needed to securely deliver and protect the site. The site links to YouTube and Instagram, and your personal links may open StarMaker, Apple Music, Amazon Music or other services; their own privacy practices apply after you leave this site.

Search and device preferences

To find community additions, the words you type and your song-language filter are sent to our server. They are used to fetch results, not saved as search analytics unless you separately opt in below. Search words are not included in the request URL. Our hosting service may process requests to deliver and protect the site.

We remember your chosen interface language and whether you unlocked the PDF in local storage on this browser. We do not put your email address in that storage. Clearing browser data removes these preferences. Your saved PDF remains yours to use.

Basic usage counts and optional search phrases

Basic usage counts are on by default unless you switch them off under “Privacy choices” in the footer or your browser requests privacy. We count completed searches, their language filter, whether results were found, songs opened and clicks on the PDF button. Basic search events contain no words you typed. We store daily totals without individual browsing histories. These counts are not linked to your signup email or ChatGPT account.

Saving search phrases for analytics is a separate choice, off by default. If you turn on “Also save my search phrases for analytics,” we also store daily counts of the words searched to help choose songs to add. Please enter only songs or artists, not personal information. We discard search phrases that look like email addresses, web links or long numbers, though these filters cannot detect every kind of personal information.

Our usage counter does not store IP addresses, device identifiers, referrers or tracking cookies, and does not send usage data to a third-party analytics service. Your choices are saved in local storage on this browser. You can change them at any time in the same place; switching off basic counts also switches off search phrase sharing. We honor an earlier choice to decline usage sharing, as well as browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals, by turning both kinds of collection off.

Daily usage totals are visible only to the site owner and are retained for 90 days; older totals are removed on the next usage event or owner results visit. Aggregate counts cannot be tied back to a particular visitor for individual deletion. The owner can also see totals for new email signups and broken-link reports from the forms, independently of these usage choices.

The owner-only results page uses ChatGPT sign-in. This is not required to use the Finder. The site currently has no advertising or analytics cookies; any future advertising or other analytics tools will be described here with appropriate choices before use.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe here without an Instagram account. We keep a minimal opt-out record (email and date) so another catalog signup does not restart emails. The response does not reveal whether an address was on our list. To request deletion of your email or other submitted data, follow @heartsparkerofficial on Instagram and send a direct message. Please message from an account where we can safely confirm your request.
